Retirement Planning
Refreshed December 2024 | CPD time: 1 Hour 45 Minutes
Retirement planning is the planning one does to be prepared for life after paid work ends, not just financially but in all aspects of life such as how to spend time in retirement, where to live, and when to completely quit working. This module looks at the different financial provisions for retirement that are available privately, from the state, and from employers.

Please note the UK government announced in the 2024 Autumn Budget that some pensions will become subject to inheritance tax effective from 6 April 2027, which will affect the content of this module. The detail is still subject to legislative changes, however, we will indicate where this might impact.
